Peasholm Park GALA Concert
Proms in the Park - Friday 5 June
The best musical extravaganza in the north this summer, enjoy an evening of incredible atmosphere and music with a fabulous fireworks finale in Scarborough’s stunning Peasholm Park. The orchestra will entertain you from the band-stand on the lake whilst you relax with a picnic, lantern and bottle(s) of wine!

GALA Concerts
Friday 3rd July - A night at the Opera
Famous orchestral and vocal showpieces from the world’s most famous and well loved operas, featuring two international singers- and great favourites with the Spa audience- Ros Evans and Jeffrey Stewart.

Friday 10th July - Orchestral Gala
Around The World. A musical tour of the world with visual images to transport the audience to places far and near. Glenn Miller and ‘From Russia with Love’ Lionel Bart.

Friday 17th July - Swing in the Park
A great family night out in Peasholm Park with music from the best of jazz and swing, showing the Orchestra’s versatility and featuring guest Rat Pack vocalist Jez ‘King of Swing’ Unwin.

Friday 24th July - Gilbert and Sullivan Extravaganza
One of last year’s most popular galas but a new programme for 2009. The Orchestra is joined by three of the UK’s greatest G and S singers: Marilyn Hill Smith, Richard Suart and Joe Shovelton, plus a full choir of 40 singers on stage, presenting everyone’s favourite G and S songs and choruses.

Friday 31st July - Orchestral Gala
‘A Fine Romance’ – a candlelit evening of romantic music and pictures.
Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Thursday 11 June
Sing-along, play-along and dance-along with the orchestra in these ever-popular concerts especially for young and pre-school children.
An hour of non-stop fun!
